Alps2Ocean
Great news if you are a cyclist and going to Oamaru Geofest. I have contacted Geoff from Alps2Ocean Cycle Hire.
They will team up with us to offer a shuttle and or rental service.
Prices are:
Shuttle to Duntroon/Windsor/Weston is $100 for one person or $30 per person for 4+ people.
If you wish to hire a bike then it is $45 for a bike with accerories and there is an option of ebikes which Geoff will organise if there is a request.
We have organsised one group to go now it is up to you to organise your own trip using the link below.

If you prefer to learn more about our craft. We have pathtag swapping, a workshop on meet the reviewers, 2 talks on Project Geocaching, a talk on GSAK on at our venue during the day and a talk on puzzle solving.
Alastair Sheppard will be making a presentation on GSAK , Tom Siegenthaler will host 2 talks about Project Geocaching and CJ Curry will talk about how to solve puzzles.

We aim to have A CITO event - to clean up Oamaru just before the quiz....
Whilst this is a lovely area there is still alot of rubbish to be found along the cycletrail and road corridors where caches can be found. We encourage all to Cache In Trash Out during the day and drop off there trash just before the quiz.
If the weather cooperates we will have a picnic in the school grounds. There is a lovely spot for such an occasion.
Please bring your own picnic home made or take aways.

Sunday 9.30am -Steaming it up our steampunk competition which the locals would enjoy – we have someone from Steampunk HQ in to judge – so it would be great to have plenty of entries.
​
We will be having 3 catergories for this competition. Best steam punk costume designed by an adult, best steam punk costume designed by someone under 18 and best steam punked themed geocache.
