To help you organise your stay in Oamaru we have a list of places where you can stay.

The local council do not allow freedom camping, so to avoid the $1,000 fine accommodation at a campground, hotel or airb&b should get booked.

Harbour Tourist Park: 25 powered or unpowered sites. 

YHA: Double rooms or dormatory 

Empire Backpackers:

  • Single, twin, double, female dorm, mixed dorm or family rooms (groups 3-6)

CHILEAWHILE Backacker: social clean accommodation offering a friendly environment with music and art.
